Cruise control is definitely part of the plan for the Elio. Right now it will be an option but is very high on the list to make standard if we can afford to for our $6,800 price point.

Sound like a re-nig?

CRUISE IS ON MY LIST OF MUST HAVES !

I THINK IT IS POSSIBLE TO MAKE ONE WITH AN EFFICIENCY MODE
THAT READS FUEL CONSUMPTION RATHER THAN ROAD SPEED .

THAT WAY IT WOULD KNOW ENOUGH TO BACK OFF THE THROTTLE GOING UP HILLS
AND SPEED UP GOING DOWNHILL . THE IDEA IS TO MAINTAIN AVERAGE mpg .

HYPERMILERS WOULD LOVE IT AND EVERYONE ELSE WOULD HATE IT .

I'd like adaptive cruise. People vary their speed so much on the interstate and it just gets so tiring to pass them and then get passed eight million times while your speed's the same (especially noticeable with a powerful CVT where the speed is ultra-steady). I'm tired of fighting them. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

Going to work in the early mornings on a 4 lane highway, maybe 5 or 6 other vehicles in sight.. Better be on cruise because the speed limit is 55 mph on 321 from Friendsville to Maryville.
