Cruise control is definitely part of the plan for the Elio. Right now it will be an option but is very high on the list to make standard if we can afford to for our $6,800 price point.
I'd like adaptive cruise. People vary their speed so much on the interstate and it just gets so tiring to pass them and then get passed eight million times while your speed's the same (especially noticeable with a powerful CVT where the speed is ultra-steady). I'm tired of fighting them. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
I live on cruise control, if the traffic allows, I'll set mine for a 3 block run. Found it keeps me from getting tickets.
When you live in a small town with all the cops in god mode, you learn how far you can push; and here, that's not very far.
Going to work in the early mornings on a 4 lane highway, maybe 5 or 6 other vehicles in sight.. Better be on cruise because the speed limit is 55 mph on 321 from Friendsville to Maryville.
