That's already the "unofficial" destination.

Seems to some like Mikey is getting the shirt end here, and maybe so to a point, but he's said many times that he'd have had to fold up long ago if not for Kaufman. In all, i think he made a pretty good go at it in times that were far from the best to be starting out.

Losing Truex, NAPA, and Rodney Childers due to the team orders scandal 2 years ago really was the beginning of the end for MWR, and all 3 are doing quite well elsewhere.
Them firing Truex was BS, he had nothing to do with that cheating scandal. They justified it by saying that if Truex had been doing better they wouldn't have had to do anything to get him into the Chase. Gee, how about if you supported Truex more during the year so that he COULD have made it in on his own.
I believe they were Toyota's first factory sponsored team .... when Gibbs switched, the almost instantly became second tier
Gibbs = Bigger name and bigger box of money Mikey = Kind of a name, mostly because of his brother and little box of money
Toyota is no fool; they used Mikey as bait to lure a bigger name to their camp.

It's time for Bristol !!!
The short track that drives like a big track and one of my all time favorites!
This is a race that will beat the weak right off the track.

Let's say umm 16 caution flags tonight?

It was a good race, and even though the Gibbs bunch dominated the starting pole, they fell back as the race wore on.
I'm wondering with the Toyota group has figured out that no one else has. Seeing Matt Kennsith (yeah, spell check is off) blow an engine early was the possibility that whatever they found could be turning the motors into kamikaze engines (they always run strong right before they blow up), but no one else had engine problems.

I know this is NASCAR but in the interest of auto racers everywhere extend your energies (some call it praying) for Indycar driver Justin Wilson.
They were running at Pocono today and Justin was hit in the head with the nose piece of another car that had crashed.
Right now he's in ICU as critical and in a coma.
I was watching the race when it happened and the nose of the other car was flying through the air and hit him square in the head as he was going to drive by at over 150.

Bad part is; this is the second time this year that an accident like this has happened.
In the other accident that other driver faired better but it's almost inherent with the design of the car.
The drivers head is completely exposed.
I think with the speeds they're hitting now that they should consider enclosing the cockpit; that way the drivers head wouldn't be exposed to flying debris.
They used to run open cockpits on unlimited hydro's but went to an enclosed "safety cell" when too many drivers were hurt or killed.

As you might have guessed I like and watch a number of different forms of racing.

Sad news today that Indy Driver Justin Wilson has passed away from his injuries yesterday.

It was a nice thing to hear that Tony Stewart had his pilots and plane fly his family from Indy to PA yesterday after the crash.
