I stake my claim on the traditional "FarberWare " percolator 4 to 8 cups. Doesn't burn coffee and I can make it as strong as I like. I keep the small version for trips. Much cheaper as Norah says.
My pot is a Mr. Coffee, brew 12 cups, pour into stainless steel serving thermos, where it stays hot and fresh for hours. Well not really hours, cause it doesn't last that long.:) Like Jayne always a cup in hand or near by. Keurig is way to expensive and who wants to wait for that cup to brew every 15 minutes!:rolleyes::D

I love my Kuerig K-cup coffee maker. I've been using them for years - on my second unit. With the varied schedule of household members, everyone gets a fresh brewed cup of coffee. No more sludge that's been on the burner for a couple of hours. It just works well for us. Fewer Starbucks trips more than pay for the coffee & maker.
Check the ez-cup out for using your own coffee in the Kuerig. I'm too cheap to buy K-cups and this brews a good cup of filtered coffee for only 10 cents.

It's not so much the cost of the coffee you brew but the price of the coffee maker. Mr Coffee on sale less than $20.00, Keurig $100.00 and up.

Yes, Worse than eating or farding, or cell phone, scalded thighs severely inhibit driving attentiveness. LOL
Understand the concern but who uses a standard cup while driving? Mine has a lid that you can close. Haven't spilled coffee in my lap ever! Cold Soda ( pop ) on the other hand, different story!:confused::oops::)
