I would just like to point out that this vehicle's range has not been rated by the EPA. Its motor is rated at 60hp, and the vehicle weighs 2280lbs...the dealer website does not list a 0-60 time.

As a reference the Arcimoto FUV has an 81hp motor and weighs nearly 1,000lbs less, and a 0-60 of 7.5 seconds.

This is purely an A to B City vehicle, it will be painfully slow (especially as BEVs go)...it's basically a drivable dishwasher. Which is fine, but it's not really an alternative to an Elio. I can't honestly think of anyone that would benefit from purchasing one over any of the other options out there either in the new or used market. I could see it working as a rideshare vehicle...but rideshare hasn't worked particularly well in the US.

For instance, you can find 2016-2017 LEAFs for the same price all day long...and as a previous owner it's going to be considerably more enjoyable to own and drive.
Very true. In their video I saw what looks like a swappable battery system....if their battery is upgradable for longer range and power, that'll be ideal. I've long considered used EV- a used Chevy BOLT, Hyundai KONA or even a TESLA.

Those specs are just right for US driving. But the K27 is just KANDI's entry level, they also have the K23 with better performance at a higher price tag but if the buyer can get advantage of the full $7500 incentive, it goes down to 19K. Both the K27 and K23 will start selling this year.

Lol I hear ya hawg ryder! What ya talkin' 'bout? We're lookin' at the same website! I just copied and pasted the info. from K27 and K23. And you're right, nothin' was mentioned 'bout A/C but I'm sure there's one.

You can see the "A/C" button in this picture of the K27 from their website, so it is at least an option. While I am not a fan of the styling or the specs, it is good to see less expensive options cropping up.

But for the money I would go for a slightly used Leaf or BMW i3 (with the range extender). Or possibly a Chevy Volt. My son is getting his first car in two years, I am thinking he might be getting a used Volt. Seems like a pretty killer first car for cheap.

Lol you're right, there's just too much goin' on up front on the more expensive K23. Also didn't improve much on top speed of just 70mph which is a no-no for me. But like I said, if you can take advantage of the whole 7500K incentive, 19K is dirt cheap for a brand new...and untested Chinese EV. I've read somewhere that GM discontinued the Chevy Volt and will concentrate on their Chevy BOLT, am I right? Regardless, I know they'll continue to service it.
