The offering price is supposed to be the price, especially for reservationists. How long that price will remain in effect after production begins is not known.
UPDATE
As a refundable reservationist, you will receive your Elio after all the all-in reservationists have their cars. Currently, 85% of the reservations are all-in, and that will climb. So that puts you pretty far down the list. Going all-in now, even for $250, and signing the commitment statement, will lock in your price AND save you $300. So you help Elio, help yourself, and avoid a possible price increase.

I received my lock-in confirmation letter this morning after submitting the form last night. I think there are plenty of glitches to go around. This was at the bottom of my letter:

"Date Time of commitment: Kenneth"

And thats it... I guess the important part is that it says I'm locked in.

Still no confirmation, so I tried again and got this again:
Thank you for completing the binding agreement. Your price will be locked at $7,000 upon verification of an All In non-refundable reservation.

Anyone else getting this popup?

The "confirm" will come by e mail. Mine took about 4 days after committing.

I had not seen that Article before booboo, thank you for posting the link.

I found it to be a positive report only error was the original price of $6800.00 as it was never a set but rather a projected price.
