As for Mfg rates (nudging back onto the topic), my field, aviation, and automotive production lines are so 'apples and oranges' that I sit back and take notes from Ty and others that "know" what they're talking about. Now if you want to discuss installing an ejection seat into your Elio...I'm your man.

Because it'll do the trick and at a tenth of a price (at least) of a new one. Note: Watch out for overpasses!!

Off topic (again) - When I was going to school for ejection seats there was a patched hole in the hangar roof where someone got complacent about safety protocol. They'll ruin your day in .5 seconds.

From what I heard at the NAIAS in Detroit last weekend (January 16, 2016) I was told that all of the reservations would be filled wthin the first quarter, and that maximum production would reach 250,000 units a year.
