I know you've the best of intention by this name, Keep It Simple Stupid(KISS) But, boy, is it vulnerable to those terrible miss-interpretations mentioned by others here. The Elio is a paragon of a simple well thought out execution of a really good idea. One thing for sure; things are going to get better or worse before all this is over. LOL
But Tucker was all about new technology and pushing that technology bubble forward. Ford was about building an affordable vehicle inexpensively that anyone could afford and was very much an "and" car at that time. I mean, people didn't NEED the car as they'd been getting along fine without it. Once the price was down to the point where it was cheaper to take the car than house and care for horses, it really took off. I'd equate Elio more with Ford in that aspect.
