Your numbers are off. By a lot.

Tesla Model S Battery: 60-100 kWh lithium-ion, depending on your options.

Also, even capacitor charging time is limited by the amount of power your power supply can deliver. Charging times for batteries are often limited by the capabilities of the power supply. Capacitors would be no different.

Not sure how accurate this site is: https://www.supercaptech.com/battery-vs-supercapacitor
They list the price of a supercapacitor as Cost per kWh: 10,000 €
Wow. I don't know where or how I found the 7kwh for a Tesla battery but I did find capacitors in the KW range that charged in a matter of seconds. Even if they didn't cover the entire capability of a Tesla battery, wouldn't it be a kick to be able to get that quick hit of a charge that you could meter back into the battery?

Yep, it sure would be. It would take a heck of a power source to be able to do that. From what I can tell, the Tesla superchargers already charge the battery as fast as the power supply can delivery the power. So whether you're charging a battery or a supercapacitor, it wouldn't make any difference. To provide any advantage, you'd need a monster power supply that provide power faster than a battery could take it.

The change over to EV type vehicles will have a BIG impact on the labor force and economics. It will have to be done slowly and over many years.

US government rules for self-driving cars. Voluntary? So if I read it right, the US government is leaving it up to the manufacturers to define the rules, while at the same time restricting the states from making any rules on this subject. Should be interesting.

Article about fast charging batteries. Ever see birds sitting on power wires? They sit there because they are warm. The wires are heated by the electrons flowing through them. Volts time amps equals watts. Watts equals heat. If they charge the larger batteries as fast as they are implying, then some kind of cooling will probably be required.
