that's tough to do without knowing where factory speaker placement (and driver size) will be. That said, the small cockpit should make it eaiser in most ways to get excellent audio with a modest budget for quality components.

There is also a fair chance for good isolation from front tires/road noise and maybe some help from the panels. Would front seat block sound from rear? An intercom might be handy on long trips. Well, if you'll let this brew in your spare time, there will be a lot of us thankful.

Anything between your ears and the source blocks/alters sound to some extent. Headphones are ideal for that reason, but not the best idea while driving. (and illegal in many places) Rear deck or door mounted speakers are a compromise... but will work quite well if the driver chosen is matched to the vehicle/install position... for example, tiny HF drivers mounted in the A pillars or dash can help immensely with imaging and "soundstage" - excellent ones can be had for <$100/pair - much less if shopped around or last years stock (frequently little or no difference except price)

I've been an audiophile from 1968 and I still can't get washed enough. I consider myself light years ahead and so I don't really see much to playing music anymore. Now if you have a good Talk show or perhaps a "Sound Racer" I'm down for that. I'm either going to be listening to a talk show or a sound racer. The rest is just an excuse for hypnotizing one's self just to feel good. In the long run a perfect waste of time. LOL

if I can get a clear sound when listening to NASCAR or a ballgame, I'm good .... other than that, the radio in ours will be turned off

Actually it was rude of me to change the subject. Most, I've found, just want a good feeling "music" and nothing more. My preference alludes to those that know that there is more to it than that. But only for those who are really interested to know about it. More about another subject than just a subjective opinion.

"Spacious" sound may be tricky in such a narrow cabin, but at least you'll be centered for good stereo imaging. If we all listened to home stereos as we do car stereos we'd be sitting next to the left speaker(s) all the time, though it seems to work out somehow with all that sound bouncing around in a vehicle..

...I guess the best way to state it is, something heavy or large enough to damage the control arms, rims and such, won't care if the fenders are there or not. Fenders just might add to the damage!...

Actually, counselor, I disagree with that statement, since fenders can be viewed as helmets. They may not stop everything but they can deflect many things and soften blows. On many cars the "fender" consists of a foot or more of front-end plus the hood. Something falling from a truck or a rock from a cliff could surely be stopped by all that mass before it hit the suspension. There's no generic scenario where something would either destroy both the fender and the suspension or be relatively harmless. It all depends. But, to make a three wheeler with a narrow body, they have to compromise, so it is what it is.
