I see some lawsuits soon from the states that don't allow direct sales from manufacturers due to franchise laws. Of course, Tesla will contest these laws and it will probably have to go to the supreme court to make the state laws unconstitutional. Until then, no direct sales would be allowed in those states. This will be an important decision, so expect both sides to fight hard. It will also be a very expensive fight. It will probably take years to decide, unless the major manufacturers decide the time is right to bypass the franchisee's. I see them holding off for a little while until they get their own EV's developed as a way to negatively effect Tesla.
