we spend about half of the year traveling in our camper and we really enjoy sitting around a campfire .... a friend of mine, who saw it demonstrated at an RV Show in Missouri, sent me a link to what appears to be a really neat gizmo that helps get a fire or charcoal going .... link to the ====> Poke N' Stoke .... You had me with the title of the thread [70's delinquent], but we do A LOT of camping and kayaking, and go through better than a cord of white oak a year keeping this place toasty. I think it's brilliant! Wish I'd thought of it!

Might make a functional prototype out of an old mattress inflator/raft inflator I've got laying around. ...Then just buy one when I look at how long and yellowed the "Honey do" list is .
