An Elio will never accelerate like our bikes do or give you the adrenaline rush a bike does. It's just cheap transportation.

Definitely not the same, but I would like to think it will be more than just cheap transportation. I hope it will be a fun (albeit different) ride.

over the years I've owned very powerful vehicles and some underpowered (at best) ones as well .... I had some great times driving a 4 cylinder Jeep CJ-5 and VW Beetle

Great after market idea for underpowered vehicles;

I've developed special glassed that make things appear to be moving tons faster as they pass by while driving.

Not good for seeing up close though.

Just a thought, given what we have already been told by EM, weight distribution
will be approximately 1/3 on each wheel and total weight at 1500 lbs it would follow that 1. the rear wheel will most probably follow just fine with little bounce as long as the shock holds out. 2. at 1500 lbs it wouldn't take much to spark up the performance, there's already talk of a turbo option.

Well, because of a temporary lapse in judgement, I now have another
scoot to add to my list. Found a 2007 Heritage Softail in too good a shape
and too reasonably priced to pass up. I'm beginning to understand why
people ride big Harleys, this thing rides nice enough to nap on. :rolleyes:
Here's a couple of pics to bore everybody with.

I'll bet it looks even cooler sitting all the way down on the kickstand rather than that block of wood.

My RGU weights about 1000 lbs sitting with all of our gear for a trip and both of us on it that would be close to 1500lbs While we have hit some fair size bumps I don't think it ever left he ground. Not to say the ELIO would not get a little bounce on some roads hit some cars can. Wheel base makes a big difference in when front and rear hit normal joints or defects in the road. Generally the long the wheel base the better the ride.
As for a turbo you can bolt one on to any engine. How well the engine holds up after that is another thread.

Very nice ride. The Heritage is a fine softail. Nothing boring about a Heritage, ever.
