Shreveport Factory Delivery $

Simple questions:
IF you indicate you wish to appear at Elio's Shreveport factory for your delivery date...how much will you save on destination and delivery charges ? Any make ready charges (like tires aired or couple gallon's of gas in the tank) ?

Ever hear a rumor that one of Shreveport's casinos was considering a free night's stay for Elio Owners appearing at their Hotel/Casino for a next day delivery ?

IIRC every car delivered is *required* to include the same delivery charge. Doesn't matter where you pick it up. If you're standing by to drive it off the assembly line yourself, you still pay the delivery charge.

And yes, that rumor has been around for some time. Apparently one of EM's big investors owns a casino in the area.

A bonus option and a VIP Tour of the Factory would be a nice gesture, maybe a free Uber ride from the Airport to the factory, since you're still paying the delivery charges.

Over the years, it's been in the $700-$850 range, based on my memory.

I haven't heard about charges for make-ready tasks for the vehicle.

Elio Motors has said that they plan to have "ride and drive" events after the firm production date is announced and it gets within a couple of months of that date. Not sure if these events would be only in Shreveport. If they are, there's another trip to decide on / plan!

Therefore, with base "locked in" at $7,000, drive out in Shreveport could possible be around $7,850 ? Geeeeeez ! WHAT NEXT ?

The price should be lower than a "normal" car because it is lighter and narrower. I am sure they can design a way to carry more Elios on a carrier which should reduce the cost of delivering them. I know that other cars cost the same to pick them up at the factory or the lot which could be 2,000 miles away. Maybe for the all in people they will do something different because there will be no other marshalling centers open for awhile.
