I think that must be the delivery to your door price. Most vehicle delivery charges are $200-$400.Over the years, it's been in the $700-$850 range, based on my memory.
I haven't heard about charges for make-ready tasks for the vehicle.
Elio Motors has said that they plan to have "ride and drive" events after the firm production date is announced and it gets within a couple of months of that date. Not sure if these events would be only in Shreveport. If they are, there's another trip to decide on / plan!

I think you're a little low Marshall. Destination charge for a Kia Sorento is $895. I hope the Elio is less than half that but i would not be surprised if it were more. Loading and unloading an Elio will be at least twice the work of a 4 wheel vehicle.

We just "paid" a $398 doc fee. In Utah if you charge anyone a doc fee you have to charge everyone the same doc fee--according to one salesman. Some charge $199, some $299 and at least one charges $398.

For factory delivery ( wonder for your Elio vehicle insurance coverage) if you'll possibly receive your own Elio VIN before you arrival for delivery ?

EVERYONE wherever they pick up will pay delivery charges -(yea, Ididn't get it, however you can't hire shippers that are expected to ship to WA or Maine, without catching local delivery too. )
I had spoken to Jerome awhile back, they were trying to get one of the Casinos to comp pick-up/ drive outs. Included was a stip, you had to fly in. Haven't seen heard anything in awhile.-- any updates??

As for copies, no copies--everything was put on a USB thumb drive and given to us.
We have doc fees, but they are tied to actual cost, not a blank check to overcharge.
But class action lawyers make money on every request for copies, take all the cash for their services, and give the victims coupons.
