I think Elio should go on TV's Shark Tank. He would have his start up money, probably overnight. Even if he didn't get a Shark to invest, the exposure would probably put him over the top overnight.
Probably not, cause the sharktank folks don't belive it will work nither will the buying public. JMHO

John Escude the Caddo Parrish Commissioner casually mentioned that the 16,000ish reservations represented $120 million in sales
and " A YEAR's worth of Production" --- that would mean approximately 307 cars built PER WEEK, not per day.

I wonder who gave him those figures.

My calculator says
16K x $6800 = $108+ million in sales.
16K / *183 days = 87+ cars p/d x 7 = 609+ cars a week....*first years production

Is my calculator broke?:(

I'm all for believing Escude's premise is wrong. No doubt at some point there will be a day with production numbers at 87 +/- but that is nor necessarily a constant.
First day might only be 41, That doesn't mean that it will be stuck at 41 forever. Got to work the bugs out so that it can improve

You are correct.
I was not making a claim, merely questioning all the numbers (307?) more like 609 based on an average 87 cars a day over the six months.
