Shreveport Plant Operations And Personnel Questions

Has anyone been to or driven by the plant in the last 30 days? I ask this because a co worker (semi non believer) said his sister lives near there and saw no sign of life. I'd like some ammo to rebut this comment if possible. Pics would be a great tool as well.
I know we have a couple of newbies that are located in that area...anyone? anyone? Buehler? Buehler?

As I understand it, the work currently being done is being done in Michigan. It will be moved to Shreveport when they get the vehicle closer to production. Right now they need to be near the sources for the work being done. When you think about it, that certainly makes sense both physically and financially. :-) Z

What Z said. There is not much going on at the plant. I read in one of the recent articles that they are now going through it right now and determining what machinary they are going to sell off so they will have more room for re-tooling the facility. I bet that wouldn't take but a few people and probably wouldn't be visible to the outside viewer for sure.

I went by the Shreveport Plant on 07 August. There was nothing going on. There was one gate open and a couple of vehicles parked up by one of the admin buildings but that was it. No sign, no Elio, no big trucks moving gear around. Of course, those trucks could be inside and they could be disassembling equipment but it is unlikely. Most likely, I was seeing some kind of facility maintainers. I don't have another trip planned out that way till next May. So, I'll have to rely on others for in-person updates on the factory.

I went by there on August 7th. There wasn't anything going on and no sign of Elio Motors yet. I posted a picture of the only "sign" I saw on my first time by there this Summer and nothing has changed since.
