Regarding the "Elio Roadshow" display for Nov 9, '14 as is listed for Shreveport, La., I recently contacted the Shreveport Chamber of Commerce; Shreveport Travel and Tourist Bureau and The State Fair of Louisiana (Shreveport HQ).
No one, like zero, at any of those locations have any information nor reservations concerning a 9 Nov '14 Elio display locale for Shreveport .
If Elio is still scheduled to be displayed (and produced) in Shreveport, would someone please reveal the exact date, time and location of the November "Elio Roadshow" prototype-display (or simply delete it as scheduled from the official website). Thank you.

Since it looks like they will be at the SEMA show in Vegas on the 7th. I would say they will pull a George Jones for a No Show on the 9th. in Sport.

Would be nice to receive some "official" date or locale Roadshow change a few weeks prior.
Also, nice way of doing business.

Elio Motors has a PR person and the assistance of an outside PR firm however they are a start up with only one tour team and a pair of prototypes so the tour can be very fluid at times as they try to pack in as much as possible while giving the tour team proper rest days and adapting to changes as major media requests and such are received. Those of us who have been following along for a while know that it can be very difficult to independently confirm these types of events ahead of time as it has been tried many times and ends mostly in failure. Even if you do find out something it is still subject to change so we have learned over time not to place much stock in this either way.

It can be very frustrating however we often do not receive the information on events until the week of the event and a few times the details have not been provided until the day before the showing. We do not currently have details for the Birmingham visit which is two weeks prior to Shreveport on the tour calendar. The team is scheduled to be in Las Vegas until Nov 7 so they really do not have much time to make it down to Shreveport even if I am sure they would like to have a showing there and take some pictures with the prototype at the plant. Like most events the best we can say at this point is stay tuned to the Elio Motors website which currently lists this event as 'tentative'.

On the eliomotors.com website, under News, it says that this event is tentative. Sounds like eliomotors is making it clear that they're not sure if they will be there.

GREAT NEWS !!!
South Arkansas, North Louisiana, SE Oklahoma and N. & East Texas (+Dallas/Ft. Worth metro).
Just received "call back" from top official of Shreveport's Louisiana State Fair.
Sunday, Nov 9th 2:00-2:30pm, Shreveport Louisiana State Fairgrounds - Veteran's Day Parade shall feature an Elio (as was at 2013 Fair).
After parade (around 3:30pm, Elio shall be on display a few hours at central area of State Fair ground.
Might want to re-confirm before you or any other interested party drive 200+ miles to close-up see their first Elio.
Active military, reserves and veterans admitted to Nov 9th fairgrounds - Free.

They will have kinda of a tight window if they leave Vegas late on the 7th. It's 1500 miles.
I guess they will dive nonstop and sleep in the truck. Been there and done that several times.

It would not be the first time they have made a transition like this however it is definitely something they try and avoid as it does put a lot of stress on the team. They do have a pair of nice vehicles as most people do not realize that the tour includes both the pickup truck pulling the trailer and a very nice black camper van which does allow them a place to relax, grab a bite to eat, or a quick nap while they are working.

if...7th Nov. departure late from Las Vegas to Shreveport.
Tag-team driving/sleeping, avg 40 mph (factor in stops) = 38 road hours.
Possible, but be cutting it a might "hair-line close" for a 2:30pm La. parade on Sun 9th.
State Fair President, Caddo Parish Commissioner and bop gonna be sure disappointed.
So, forget the parade.
We just want to see and touch an Elio vehicle.

As someone who has had to plan just this sort of thing the easy way to get this done is to send the P3 or P4 ahead and fly most of the team over when they are finished in Vegas. EM has occasionally done this so we will just have to wait and see what plays out
