We will know more when Elio has to release year end in April.

Elio will have to release something because even under OTCQB, they have to disclose something or they get moved to OTC Pink. Even with the move to OTCQB, that's the opposite direction they needed to go to get listed on NASDAQ. Hopefully they can get relisted back on OTCQX by passing the penny stock test, then go to NASDAQ.

Same company.The difference is Protean Electric now needs money for a launch.
They're also now putting greater emphasis on the name ProteanDrive.

I remember the subject of hub motors [making the Elio a hybrid] a few years ago. "Unsprung weight" always seemed to pop up. Maybe a standard motor [not hub] with a belt drive like some motorcycles. I'd be game for a hybrid Elio!

How about this for an option:

I saw the fixed triangle track on an ATV doing some mountain trekking. Those of us with tires occasionally got stuck, but the ones with tracks had no problem.
