Did anybody else notice that this particular car had no shocks/springs in the front suspension, just a rod where they would go? Compare this car to the silver one in the next video. But, it's just a prototype mule, so all is forgiven.

It has inboard coilovers mounted horizontally, actuated by pushrods.

Moving the coil-over shocks inboard makes the front end more streamlined leading to improved fuel economy. Elio is all about the details in making this car as fuel efficient as possible.

This is the first video I remember seeing on the Elio.

Thanks I hadn't seen that. One thing this brought to my attention is that they chopped out the video of people getting in and out, it's very obvious. I've also heard from an individual's review of a later prototype (not sure if it was the P3 or P4) that the seating position was really low to the ground. I'm hoping it's not too bad, I sold my Firebird because it got to be difficult to haul my 6'2" frame out of.
