People on the road the most are 18 wheelers. The Elio MUST keep this in mind since they should make sure that they can haul the double trailer combination which is becoming more common. And don't forget, that's without reducing the 84 MPG target.

Not sure WTH Paul was thinking. There's an obvious design flaw with the Elio, but the simple addition of a fourth wheel ought to fix it. Now, where to put it? Hmmm.

On the back of the driver's seat, of course. It'll keep my wife occupied on those long trips.

How about retractable front wheels? I want them to retract into the body at highway speeds. Centripetal force or centrifugal force or centipede force... something will keep it driving upright. Yeah, pull those wheel covers right in against the body so aerodynamics works better. And, for the love of Pete, put the gas cap right in the middle under the license plate... no need for a fancy dancy gas cap or even door. Put a capless fill tube right behind the license plate, hinge that sucker and include a simple foam gasket that tapes to the back of the plate so that IT will act as the fuel door. That in itself would save at least a few cents per vehicle. (Plus, it would drive people batty trying to find it.)
