Over the 10,000 mark of 1000 dollar reservation. Not bad How many more do we need to get them to start building something?
And get with opening a plant to build them. I have seen nothing yet that proves they have the Hummer plant or any part of it. None of the information posted anywhere is proof .
Of course 10 million dollars is chump change when you are dealing with a project like this. The support future owners are showing is important .

The video on this page directly addresses the plant lease question many still have for some reason. It features a Caddo Parish Commissioner, John Escude, directly stating that the lease is in full force. Date is May 1, 2014.

Thanks goofyone for posting this.
But as anyone knows when it comes to MONEY a politician (or Commissioner) will say anything if they get more out of a deal.

When you see it happening then you will know it came true.

Regarding third quarter 2015, why do people keep mentioning Sept. as the mfg start date? Just trying to keep expectations low? Third quarter starts July 1.
When I talked to the company a couple of weeks ago...DECEMBER was the operative word. At 8,415, I'm thinking I'll be heading over to Shreveport mid to late January, 2016. (Actually, I'm betting on later than that.)

I already posted my number but I didn't post my details.

Went All In at $100 level on 1/21/14. Total reservations were just over 6700 at that time. I did a $1000 upgrade on 7/25/14.

Got my number today of 6117. Was thrilled to see it as low as it is!!!!! WOOT!!!!

Says that a great deal of reservations were non refundable even up till the time I upgraded (based on how they stated they were slotting reservations).
CONGRATULATIONS!

First post.
Just got my number 6910.
It would be cool to see a map where all of the numbers are located.
This way I would know who I might meet when I go to get mine.
I've been watching the forum for a while and can't wait to see it blow up once #1 comes out.
Wonder what month I will be traveling up to pick mine up?
Who's located in SE Florida?

PS. I also introduced the Elio to a good friend while we were doing a M/C trip in NC/GA/TN this summer, who also purchased one. His is 9 before me, so we will be going up together to pick them up. There should be a bonus for those who get other buyers. Maybe one factory option free. I will take a sunroof or cruise control for doing my part.

Thanks

I guess they could do that but then they would have to charge the rest of us more for our Elios to make up for the loss of profit. If you read about the process EM is going through to get the Elio produced you will understand a lot more. EM is not your traditional auto dealership with MSRP that allows padding. This is bare bones as long as it does not affect the quality of the product. Since I am one of the low income buyers I am glad everyone pays the same price for everything they buy. It means the price will be kept low enough for me to be able to buy my Elio. I expect several people I have introduced the Elio to to eventually buy one but I don't expect to get any other benefit than the good feeling for having done them a favor by introducing them to the Elio. That is what good friends do. :-) Z
