But how far into the build do you include the plaque? The first 500? :hand: or all of the $1K reservation holders? Or do you do all of the original "All In" reservation holders?
If you do the plaques and if it isn't for all of the long time reservation holders (and some of those long time people never did the $1K) those people are going to be :censored:
The first 3013 of them!;)

Seriously, Id say the first model year (whatever that might be)

I feel it should be everyone that had a reservation in; those are the early believers; the ones that felt it would be done.

Once they announce the start production date, the reservation / plaque cars stop. You could still make a reservation, but it wouldn't include the plaque.

But I have to admit; the one thing they have stuck to their guns on is being loyal to those that have waited. The bonus they announced for the people that had reservations in on 2013 and 2014 shows that.

You have to admit, the new marketing / crowd-funding campaign is FABULOUS! If they build up an adequate pool of investment intent (say $100,000,000 of INTENT to invest), then people will say "Hey! This is legit!" and we can all jump in the pool together.

No one wants to be the only idiot who jumps in the freezing water alone, to be laughed at and left soaked. I hope this latest marketing campaign works. If they get past the next hurdle (build an actual, working car that starts to hit the price/fuel/performance specs they've promised), the future for this company will positively EXPLODE!

People know that the "legacy" car companies carry HUGE baggage (pensions, unions, etc.). That's why their cars cost so much! If Elio can pull this off (and start with a clean slate), the price savings will be ENORMOUS! And cars should start flying out the door.

Godspeed.
The labor portion of a car's cost, contrary to popular belief, is on the order of two grand or so. Unions, who made a middle class possible, are nearly powerless, and even if you eliminated labor costs entirely, it wouldn't make a dent in the cost of your car, as they'd just take the profit. And pensions are deferred compensation, taken in place of pay, and so are not additional costs of labor.

That's why the car makers started building plants in the south and west coast; they're non-union shops.
