Sun Visors , Sun Roof, Moon Roof, Glass Roof, Convertible?

As an aging motorcycle enthusiast, The Elio MUST have a removable top, or at least a convertable option, or else they can keep it. Does anyone know if they will offer a removable top? Or a convertable?

So far only "Glass Roof" & "Sun Roof" as options.............

Highly unlikely that option will be on roll out. Maybe down the line after the design is on the streets for awhile. But hey. Who knows.

Well I'm in no hurry. I'd wait a couple years for them to get the bugs worked out before I considered purchasing one. I'm just looking for something for the day when riding my Harley becomes too much for me to handle.

How about getting a side car?

For some reason I flashed on taking a sawzall to the roof panel and putting a folding cloth top like the little citreons have.

Roll cage is spaced so you can cut one in.

A lot of strength would be lost by removing the roll cage so the rest of the frame would have to be beefed up. There would also be a drop in mileage due to the poor aerodynamics. Two of the Elio goals are low cost and great mileage so I wouldn't expect to see one in the first few years.
