Improvements To The Steering Wheel?

The only change I'd like to see to the steering wheel is to HAVE ONE IN MY HANDS ON MY ELIO

They do things for a reason; and the majority of the time it's to cut cost so that they can meet the $7,300.00 MSRP. Even something as simple as plastic chrome adds cost to the base price.

I was at Ford once, and got to listen in on a meeting that they were have on a new model that was planned; they were arguing about a washer. One washer was 1/4 of a cent, but another one was 1/3 of a cent, but they could use it in more places. Now you would think that an item as simple as a washer that cost that little was a no brainer; but when you're talking about going thru millions of these washers all of it adds up over a model run.
With the low MSRP of the Elio, watching pennies might seem like a waste of time, but it's not because of the quantities they want to roll out the door (250,000 a year).

Could they at least spend 1/800 of a cent and paint the Elio logo green in the center?

I don't want green, I want red to match my paint color....unless I decide to buy a Creamsicle, then I want the steering wheel logo to match...

I have an idea, why don't you spend a whole "penny", and paint it yourself?
