Wow, test drives this Monday??? Watch their soloowners.net explode regarding reviews, first impressions, etc.!!! Way to go EMV. I think my wait is over by Monday, time to use my EM receipt for a SOLO reservation.:D

I'm happy to see the test drive schedule commence, however, my guess is the test drives will be slow in a controlled track environment. It will give future owners the opportunity to experience the fit and feel of driving it, but likely not a full blown performance and handling experience. Still exciting and I look forward to reservationist reviews.

3wheelin, Sounds like you are about to pull the trigger on a no risk EM receipt Solo reservation.

Thanks for the encouragement. I am down 15 lbs now. It is going to be a new lifestyle. I hate it, but have no choice.:(
Congrats on the 15# weight loss. I hate it too! I like to cook, bake, and eat. What works for me is portion control and 3 days a week at the local therapy center pool for low to no impact 'warm water' exercise.

I'm disappointed, but the test drive announcement didn't give me enough time to change plans. I'm a fast 500 mile road trip to Vancouver. Maybe next time. :)
Plans, shmams... priorities, man! You've got to have priorities!

(I'm sure you've prioritized and the test drive didn't rise to the top of the stack)

If there is a person that deserve to hand us SOLO's first test drive impressions, it's gotta be you Rickb! You've been an advocate of this SOLO from the beginning so I can understand the frustration.
Talking about consumer acceptance, I like the fact that EMV have big plans but starting small to test the market. US alone has 208 million registered drivers (2008 stats), giving them a taste of something different, something new and affordable EV and it'll be interesting how they will respond to SOLO. ;)

Thanks! I wish it was me too, but not so frustrated because I'm happy to see reservationist test drives and real progress. I'm an advocate for any 3wheelin vehicle about to hit the market. I do have high expectations for the EMV Solo in terms of build quality and performance and expect Solo #166 to be delivered this year. If not frustration will set in rather quickly. :)
