I thought that Electrek in general had a policy of not hyping what even they call "the latest battery breakthrough claim of the week". As they say in the conclusion: "It’s relatively easy to make a battery capable of fast-charging or having a high energy density, or a battery that is inexpensive or durable, but it’s extremely hard to make a battery good at all those things..."

Most people don't even pay attention to his stuff anymore.

Fisker Automotive, who made the Fisker Karma, went bankrupt and is no more. The IP was bought by a Chinese company named Wanxiang Group in 2014. They founded Karma Automotive in 2015, and now make the Karma Revero.

In 2016, Henrik Fisker started a new company named Fisker Inc. They are planning to sell a car named the Fisker EMotion.

So the Karma Revero is not made by Henrik Fisker, or associated with him in any way. It is instead made by a company that bought the IP, patents, factory, etc. They bought everything except the Fisker name and trademarks.

My main reason for posting new developments is for those that are interested in following progress. If the technology is sound, then it's likely that the company will be bought by a major player. If (and that's a big if) you were to invest in some of these companies before they are bought you would have big returns. Again, if, they are successful. As several of you dislike knowing or following these types of articles, I will make you happy and quit posting them. That just leaves Elio. Sorry, nothing new with them.

Fisker was a great example of a company that went to forced production. That's when you need to meet a timeline for production and the product is not ready. You end up building it when the design is not done. If you ever seen one up close, the quality is horrible. This had nothing to do with the company that actually built the cars for Fisker as they were still building the Boxter/Cayman at the time. Those are really high quality cars. It was that the Fisker was not done and even a top notch supplier can't dig you out of that hole. Even if you just set aside the electronics issues, the body didn't fit, the interior didn't fit and if you ever had one up on a rack, you could see there was lots of rework going on before it left the factory. Even a Mitsubishi Mirage or Nissan Versa has much better fit and finish than the Fisker had.

That whole project was just like watching a train wreck in slow motion. It wasn't bad luck but just bad management.

The problem with Fisker was Henrik. The man is a designer, he should be working for someone...not as someone. Some people are leaders, some followers, he's the latter.

His newest venture will fail spectacularly in a similar fashion.

The best of leaders can't effectively manage a team that doesn't have the credentials to get the job done.

If follower personalities like Fisker and Elio are contemplating a start up vehicle venture, they should be smart enough to assemble a Team with the credentials and proven experience to make their dream vehicles our reality. Unless, their goal was to simply generate funds based on an effective marketing campaign.

Not at all. Don't you dare quit posting them. I simply was expressing my opinion regarding the vast sea of innovations that are always, "just around the corner." Too many times over four decades I've gotten my hopes up about things that relate to me personally only to have the object of those hopes disappear into obscurity without a trace. It's up to me not to click on them if I don't want to read them. As you say, there are others who enjoy following things like this.
