Always in favor of being educated. I like looking at the new vehicles if nothing else, to give me ideas for my future Elio. The website looks very nice and is informative too.
Unfortunately I think EV's are still too young and will have growing pains. Fully autonomous even more so.
Read about lithium prices and availability here: http://wallst-news.com/millennial-lithium/
If this article is true, then the price of batteries will go up. This makes the Elio an even better idea.
Slightly off topic, but still pertains to the man with all the electric plans...
"Elon Musk makes proposal to help revamp Puerto Rico’s devastated power grid"
Elon Musk, "Build it right, then worry about bringing the cost down".
Everyday three wheeler electric commuters are about to breakout as affordable EVs for the masses: SRK/SOLO/SONDORs
...........and the higher end electric car, but a little more affordable Tesla Model 3 with 300K-500K refundable pre-order deposits. That's a definite growth spurt for the EV market. I'm eager to experience EV ownership and hope to not be disappointed. My EV owner neighbor said, "the only issue I have with driving my EV is that I don't want to drive anything else". He has one EV and two I.C.E vehicles.
I hear you Rickb! The SOLO is it for me right now...price- checked, head turner- checked, for-real- checked, available to reservationists as early as next year!- checked, and my personal favorite- I'm retired and drives less miles than it's range- checked- bingo!
I have to agree with him.............don't miss the gas station, and having that 300 ft.lbs of torque available RIGHT NOW helps too
That must've been wickedly fun! I still yet to own a car that'll pin me to my seat as the torque does it's work. Enjoy your spoils wiz!
Same here. My Bolt doesn't quite have 300 (it tops out at 266ft lbs), but it's still more than enough to make the kids squeal in delight from the back seat!
Poor gas stations. No one likes them anymore. Maybe I'm spoiled for living in Oregon because we don't have to pump our own gas.
