Blaming other members for his absence is disingenuous, unless you hear it from his mouth. I only saw him agree that he probably should no longer share information that could be seen as privileged, and I don't think his sole contribution to the forum was "keeping people in the know."
EKH flat out said he would stop posting, because people kept accusing him of posting what they considered insider information. He get fed up and said "Then I'll just stop posting. Bye."

The EMV SOLOW meets the autocycle definition in my State. The Arcimoto FUV did when it had a steering wheel. The SRK Gen8 transition to handle bar steering now requires me to have a motorcycle endorsement. I'm fine with that and prefer the more agile ride and increased performance of that major engineering change.
Amended to federal legislation... Sorry

On the other hand, you either have insider information or you don't. What you do not want to do is post as to indicate you have insider info. Once you do that, then you will be considered an insider. A customer of mine ran into this about 10 years ago. He was looking to move his machine shop (not some local small one but a big one that employed 100). He found 5 properties and then did a study on them. Someone that knew him posted where he was looking to move and then all of a sudden it became a real problem. One area even had a petition for him not to move there. Lost of misinformation but it all came down to an insider started posting info and thus people just ran wild with that.

Honestly, you just have to keep from posting info and present it as a matter of fact which only a few within the tight confines of the company would know. If you do, be prepared to follow up. If you don't, then your credibility is gone. I was under the impression that EKH was an insider or an employee of the company. Either he's still an employee and Paul told him to stop or there was a leak and it was sealed or he was just making it up. Choose what you want but you just can't use only good news as what is really going on.

I think that no one should assume anyone has inside information on this forum. While I think that I give good advice, I don't want people to blindly rely on what I say as fact. Listen to opposing views and make up your own mind.

I don't ass.u.me forward thinking 'insider' information is any more credible or reliable than forward thinking 'outsider' information. Elio Marketing offers no guarantees and ALL information is covered as Forward Thinking Statements. The only factual information can be found in the required SEC Filings.

What matters is EM meeting their stated scheduled production Milestones particularly when the Reg A+ funding became available earmarked to complete and test the 25 E builds, a process that will take 3-6 months.

Misspending that earmarked money and the outrageous payments (even in stock) to Paul’s engineering enterprise are the two biggest problems for future investors, IMHO. The third biggest problem is ‘why would EM seek only a 100million investment (that Drexel Hamilton deal) when they really need almost 300million?’ If anything, investors would want to over fund to better guarantee success, not go into the deal halfassed with inadequate capital. it’s almost as if EM wants to merely limp along vs. going for the brass ring.

But ONLY ELIO meets the federal autocycle legislation definition before Congress albeit slowly... A big deal!

Legislation Update and more
by The Elio Team

You may have noticed that the Momentum has a new look. Our goal, in the new Momentum format, is to keep all of our supporters, fans and reservation holders informed on a number of fronts.

If you have an interest in engineering, industry trends, or general Elio Motors progress, we aim to provide you with valuable information. In the past, Momentum has covered one topic. Today, we will cover three: legislative progress, the impact of the daily commute, and the growing trade deficit.

Autocycle Progress

Yesterday, a bill was proposed by Senator Dave Miramant which would create an autocycle designation for autocycles in the state of Maine.

The proposed bill would define autocycles and allow drivers to drive autocycles with their regular driver’s license. According to Senator Miramant, ““Although there has been proposed Federal legislation to deal with autocycles, there has been no action at this point.”

“We shouldn’t rely on Washington to get this done — other states are moving forward with their own common-sense regulations and we should be doing the same here in Maine.”

Commute

According to data from the US Energy Information Administration, the largest source of greenhouse pollution is transportation for the first time in 40 years. Previously, the generation of electricity contributed far more pollution than getting from Point A to Point B. According to IFL Science, “the automotive sector is lagging behind.

More than 50 percent of urban pollution can be attributed to motor vehicles. The US Energy Information Administration indicates that carbon dioxide emissions emitted in 2016 by transportation increased by 1.9 percent, overtaking power generation as the most polluting sector in the country.” At up to 84 MPG on the highway, the Elio can play a significant role in limiting our carbon output.

Cutting the Deficit, Creating Jobs

While there is no denying we are living in an era of polarizing politics, there is one issue that transcends party affiliation: the creation of American jobs. The 21st century has seen American manufacturing jobs vanish and as a result the national trade deficit has continued to grow. NJ Today says “Millions of Americans have lost their jobs due to the massive trade deficit …Nearly three-fourths of the lost jobs were in manufacturing.”

The equation is simple: by fostering American manufacturing, we can effectively combat the growing trade deficit. The automotive sector, in particular, can usher in the next era of American manufacturing.
