I thought I'd share my current option list. I'm bored and what does it hurt to waste a little time.

What does carbon fiber look like? I usually hate fake things but I seem to recall that it has a nice pattern. I might opt for that inside and just accept that it's a pattern with no real relevance.

Depending on the weave, it should look something like this. I've got CF trim in my '12 Caddy CTS and it looks pretty darn good IMHO. I am curious why you're opting for the retro fenders, but going with the standard wheels.

Mine will be white with black interior so that a custom paint job can be put on easier.
Very few options. Automatic, maybe the removable roof rack.

Would like two sun visors, CB radio, Maybe a moon roof. Oh, and definitely some lighting on the front fenders.

Wouldn't it be just totally cool if we had electro-chromatic glass that you could switch to opaque. You could park and block out all the sun from all directions. Well, if it were deemed too dangerous for windshields, a simple sun shield would block the sun from the dash. But, the side windows are prime for electro-chromatic glass placement. I know... too expensive... to niche... too hard to incorporate into Elio's "We make 14 different configurations at the factory. The marshaling centers assemble options to vehicles and the windows would be very difficult to do economically post-production.

I've looked at the options Elio plans to offer and I must admit I would like to have some of them. But... First; the whole idea of the car is low cost transportation and if you start to pile on extras then it defeats the purpose. Second; I'm curious to see what the after market will offer before buying any options. Only option our Elio will come with is automatic.

Because the "retro wheels" on the configurator look like poopie. I hope they will improve.

If I turn an elio into a 20k car perhaps. Putting a few amenities on it doesn't defeat the purpose. The entire idea of the Elio is to configure it into whatever you want to make your commute better. If you want nothing then that's fine. Adding it aftermarket is the same as adding before if you consider it defeating the purpose.

True, but you might be defeating it cheaper....

The transitional film looks good but it might still effect optical clarity. Some states also have restrictions as to what you can put onto windows. Their website does indicate that it is optically clear and some versions are for automotive use.

Price is $65 per running foot at 60" wide.

Not too bad. Might get some for my current car and try.
