I think, at this point, Tesla's unit delivery is affected more by their production rate than their sales rate. I'm glad to see another American company doing well though. Hopefully, they'll be able to build enough batteries to keep the S3XY models available and inexpensive. I'm curious to see their pickup and how it'll compare to the innovative Rivian. A new truck my be on my list of things to get in a few years... though I really like my current truck, 13.8MPG kills me.

Don't mistake deliveries with sales. Tesla has a backlog to fill. What you need to post is the increase in the number of firm orders. Please show that.

My wifes' car stinks to high hell in my garage after she leaves (from the exhaust, not some other nefarious thing). Gas cars will always require the burning of fossil fuels. When she gets her next car (electric), it will not leave that horrible stench. Eventually, most energy will be able to be renewable and THAT will be a boon. My Dad said that the day after 9/11 happened, the skies over Atlanta were clean. It'll be something if they ever figure out how to make airplanes electric. Of course, Jets are probably the most efficient things on a per passenger-mile basis but, still.

The real benefit of electrics is that it moves the pollution control out of my backyard... meaning we aren't leaving the pollution control to individuals to deal with. Ever watch someone "rolling coal" down the road? Yeah, you can't leave pollution control to a bunch of idiots and expect them to do what is good for the community.

I have no problem with Nuclear power plants. Especially today where we have way more technology to keep things under control than we did back in the day. I live not that far from the Limerick Nuclear Power Plant. My previous next store neighbor worked there as an engineer. He loved it.

During the election when I heard we were going go go after more nuclear power I was happy. As of today, I think it was more of a pie in the sky idea and probably will never be done. Too bad.

Did you read the article I attached?

I did. It gets complicated figuring out how much petro is used to produce electricity (or more petro, for that matter... it doesn't ship itself to your car). But, I can tell you that none of that takes place in my town or house. Electrics are a bridge right now and soon, we won't need the rare-earth minerals (just ask Mr. Goodenough about his solid-state batteries) for either solar panels OR batteries. Till those come to fruition, electrics at least get the pollution away from our families.
