Yes, both the FUV and SOLO are FUN with a dash of UTILITY vehicles.
They're real alright, except one that just couldn't find it's way to the finish line.

Looking at these 3wheeler pics, the SOLO takes on the streets, the FUV at home in the snow, but sadly, the ELIO here shown on a beautiful night shot....may never see the light of day.

or this new owner living in the cooler season climate of Eugene, OR. He took delivery of his FUV a couple weeks ago and it has become his favorite daily driver. He appears to be dressed appropriately for his ‘cool’ new ride.

He has the Z4 Smile. Same one I had when I bought my Z4. I was going to show how my Z4 could be driven all year. I smiled, cranked up the heat to full and still had to suit up. I showed that my ZUV was so much fun, I was going to make you see it. Then a year passed and I did the two choices that people have. Get a hard top or just make it your summer car (most picked it as a summer car which is why there are so many with low miles). Then I needed the snow tires. Then I needed the lift in the garage to store the hard top. In the end, I showed them. The smiles stopped and it was just a car.or this new owner living in the cooler season climate of Eugene, OR. From looking at that picture, it looks like someone that the ZUV will go away and then it'll be parked because it's cold and raining. As fun as it is, will it be that much fun in a year. We all claim it will but I doubt it.
That’s a Kiss my Arcimoto Smile Syndrome.......smile. The Arcimoto CEO , the owner in the photo, and all the other current FUV owners using their FUVs as daily ‘year around’ driver’s in Eugene, the West Coast, Florida, Hawaii, and soon to be many other States across the country that will choose to drive it year around or seasonally. My climate perhaps 80%+- of the time (pending dry streets and >32 degree temps), the same amount of time I’d be driving my three wheeler Elio.
Obviously, you won’t be driving one in your climate. The good news is Arcimoto is delivering FUVs to people who want them and FUVs don’t take up nearly as much space as your Z4. The FUV will also extend the riding season of the typical motorcycle in the shortest of riding season climates. The FUV serves the same purpose as your Z4 or the Elio (&) would have served as supplements to the primary family car. Arcimoto deserves credit due for crossing the retail production finish line. The market will determine their success or failure, based on the Eugene AMP’s max production 10K units per year once production scale plans kick into high gear. I only wish someone or something was kicking at EM. Acceptance of any three wheel platform commuter vehicle would be a positive for Elio’s on going funding campaign.
Many of the arguments you make against the FUV’s acceptance and success, can and will be made against the Elio. Elio fans should rally around and support the FUV’s and the SOLO’s potential success even though it doesn’t meet their personal needs and/or buy one. Go Three Wheels!

I used to ride my motorcycle through the winter when I lived in MO, and certainly through FL thunderstorms when I lived there. There is considerably more protection from the elements in the FUV...I assume most owners took this into account when ordering...so I have to think that owners are probably not overly concerned about it...and most likely weren't trying to show anyone up.
