Another advantage of the Elio being so narrow is that you probably will not need power mirrors as both mirrors will be easy to reach from the drivers seat.

I hate cheap black mirrors mounted in window frames. I would like To see them use body mounted mirrors like the new camaros. I feel like it would bring the look of quality up a bit. And I don't mind the tiny increase in drag. What do you all think?

It would not surprise me if they offer painted mirrors as an option however the mirror mounting location will likely come down to a balance of aerodynamics and cost just like many other items on this vehicle.

Anyone feel heated mirrors should be an option? I think without a rear window heated mirrors would be a necessity in colder climates.
Hi and welcome from Oregon, RK2112. I have never had heated mirrors and have lived in some very cold climates. However, I am sure there are many places where it is much colder than I have or will experience. It is an interesting question and I look forward to reading other responses. Enjoy all the discussions on here and the information at Elio Motors.com. This is a very exciting adventure as we travel towards Elio production and ownership. Next year in my Elio! :-) Z
