I have no clue as to why some folks are arguing over what the folks at Elio can or cannot do.
Paul has stated, as I recall, that money to start production is not an issue and that, at worst,
(assuming nothing strange and unexpected happens) production will begin in 9/2015.
Unless and until Paul says otherwise, I will assume that's when Elio cars can be purchased.
What I will not assume is that some blogger from Peoria knows anything different or
has inside information, something quite imposssible coming from an outsider.
This has all been a waste of time.

A little negativity goes a long way with me. I joined this forum to find out more about the car. Here say, conjecture, and once-apon-a-time don't get it.
There seems to be a concerted and continuing effort by Mr. Elio to get this done. Maybe Warren Buffet could take the edge of of things. See I to can project conjecture. To me the cup is half full. This thing is worth investing in and I did. I am part of it and will remain part of this forum even if it is sometimes painful to read what some think. "Get-er-done!

Nice post--It wouldn't surprise me at all to hear that Warren Buffet's team be hyperventilating over the prospects---we can hope....

If you find certain posters consistently offensive you can do 2 things. One is report them to the support staff who are excellent. The other is select the "ignore" option and that will block all their comments from being seen by you. There are a lot of very knowledgeable and Elio friendly people on this forum and we try to keep the forum as pleasant as possible. Leaving only lets the "trolls" win. Responding also feeds them and encourages them to continue their barrage of a negativity. I hope this helps. :-) Z

Questioning and thinking about problems is not negativity, at least in my world. But one can definitely be positive AND be aware of issues. I'm an Elio fan, want it to succeed, and have put some money where my heart is. I'd like to have an Elio -- it is about perfect, and (at 68) probably the last car I'll ever buy. I also admire Paul Elio's intention and commitment … the man wants to make a big difference in an area where making a difference is hard to do and absolutely vital to our survival as a nation.

But there ARE some problems, real ones, to be overcome … not technical problems, but business problems. I sure hope Elio and his board can work these out!

See that's the funny part how you came up with the 'business problem"? Or another one that's claiming EM needs a billion dollars to make it happen!! Of course the latter needs a little help with math! Just because EM pushed back the production time does not necessarily mean they're running out of funds, their business plan is not working, that they didn't secure an investor/s, etc. A lot of exciting things will happen before this year is over, P5 should be coming out, the AIV engine should have been tested and reports announced, etc. I'm giving EM 'till Sep. 2015 to deliver my Elio and if there's another delay, then we can all entertain our worst fear.....but not until then so trying to over analyze what's unknown is just like guessing bigfoot's next sighting! So you see it's more of an entertainment at least to me and very hilarious to take these negativity seriously. Paul Elio is becoming a household name with his TV exposures and he's not going anywhere so forget about comparing him to Madoff like the other naysayers are claiming. ;)

September 2015 is not the delivery date, it is the start of production (if they can get the other $150M funding required). Elio stated that delivery will begin 5 to 7 weeks after that. That puts the first vehicle off the production line will be November 2015 at the earliest, with up to 250 per day (1,000 every 4 working days) so you can estimate when your number will be finished. Even with production starting, I would not hold my breath over deliveries starting as late as December 2015 or even January 2016. I will be happy to fly back there to pick mine up during "Spring Break" 2016.

Well, I hope the tv coverage helps it get off the ground. Hopefully this will get several small investors to chip in.....people wanting to pledge $500,000 to $1million.

I am confused. I don't remember reading that Paul is LOOKING for small investors. Can you direct me to the site where they are asking for half million, to one million dollar "pledges?" Last I heard, EM said "funding is not an issue".

I'm not aware of the 5 to 7 weeks delivery time frame after they start producing in Sept. 2015 but that should be expected. My reservation number is in the 2,000 range so Dec. is just fine for me! ;)
