I *could* have. They certainly raise the hood so that people could see, but I didn't take any pics 'cause it wasn't the production engine. I mean, what's the point of taking pics of something you KNOW is going to change significantly? Still, their willingness to lift the hood spoke of the openness of the company. I will say this: That hood was *packed* full o' crap. No extra room in there!

Thanks for that. I was mainly curious to see how much room there was. I have since checked it out.

I'm a guy, 6'5", 280lbs with a 36" inseam....I'll let you know this Friday, June 20 when I go to Columbus !!! :D

(Of course, it's the P3 :()
From what I understand the main difference in the interior is the back seat headroom. There was one gentleman who sat in the Elio in Boston (there is a YouTube video about it) that was 6'6" and he was very pleased with the amount of room he had. He was photographed both sitting in the Elio and standing next to it. I understand there is supposed to be a video coming out soon of the two 7'+ gentlemen who saw the Elio in Chicago. I look forward to seeing that. Good luck to you this weekend. Also, if Jerome Vassllo (sp?) is there, he has been with the Elio the longest and will know more about leg room issues than probably anyone else there. :-) Z

Well,

We made the Columbus show yesterday :)

Keep in mind, this was the P3 BUT, I must say that I am totally impressed :D

IF you have not seen this machine up close and personal, you really need to make one of the shows !!!

As stated, I'm 6'5", big-boned and "fluffy", with a 36" inseam. My bride is also "big-boned" with MAYBE a 28" inseam.

We both fit in the driver's seat with PLENTY of room left and in tandem, we fit "snugly" but very tolerable.

We will be making REGULAR, 800 mile (one way) trips in ours :p

Can't wait to take delivery !!!

PS

I spoke with Don about the two 7 foot guys.....they took pics standing by the Elio, but neither ever made "all the way" into it !!!

That is very interesting because the taller of the two (7'4") said he had actually sat in the P3 last year. He said he had problems with having enough room for his right leg to move to drive. The dash board was in the way. Thanks for asking and telling. :-) Z

I drove to Columbus today to see the P3 and I liked what I saw. I am considering upgrading to "all in" but I still would like to have more concrete info on Elio's financing to actually start production.

There is a post on facebook of that 7' 4" guy sitting in the elio. It didn't look like it would work for him. His knees looked to be up in the steering wheel.
