I did try to look this up but what I found was microchips intended for instruments or identity. :-) Z

Interesting question. Not a microchip such as you put in a pet but if they can find a stolen iPhone with the proper app then a dumbed-down device could be hidden and used to locate the vehicle. Maybe such a device already exists. If not, the concept seems like it would be a popular add-on to any vehicle.

Maybe a LoJack clone that employs today's technology? Cheaper to go the iPhone route!

Dude! That's almost grand! ($1K aka $995) That'll be more than my deductible; It's 15% of replacement cost; AND I didn't hear any mention of a tee shirt & bumper sticker!

Here's my theft deterrent :

Since the Elio doesn't have a back window, thus no where to put a custom "gun rack", the "Trunk Monkey" seams to be the logical solution, since he comes WITH his own shotgun!
