I'll...I'll just see myself out now.

*creak...click...pitter...patter...pitter*

Not ignoring you. I just had to get to bed. 4am comes around pretty quick, and I need all the beauty sleep I can get!;)

Skepticism is understandable, and a good thing, I believe. I used to be in that category myself. The more I look into it, the more it makes me wonder what the heck they can be. Still don't buy the "crop circles" and "alien abduction" claims...for now. o_O

That's the only 'logical' thing it could be! :D

Hi NSTG8R,

Not sure what you are seeing, I did hear about a few stories about how ball lighting and plasma balls are made ... but those are very rare, it doesn't sound like the right weather conditions for that to happen in your area... So it is something unknown flying around your area... What is near you??

I can't say I have ever seen a UFO or flying orb... But about 15 year ago, I did see or not see in this case.. something very odd... I was camping with some close friends near a lake on MT Hood, and about midnight, I looked up to see the stars before going to sleep and there were no stars...

I pointed this out to everyone and we all looked up in wonder, and sat around the fire and talked about what we were all seeing, or not seeing...

Even more odd, was the the space where we did not see any stars, was in the shape of a huge triangle... really huge... almost the size of the lake... which was about two miles across... the huge black triangle was only over the lake, not over land at all...

You would see the stars, and then you saw this boarder of the triangle, the edge of the triangle shape was sharp and clear, like a straight black line drawn in the sky, then inside the triangle it was just plain dark black... no star light at all could be seen... no odd sounds... but a very quiet night on the lake...

So "logically" that should have not happened... This was a huge area, no moon light, lake reflections off of the clouds, that could block out the stars... it was a clear night, no clouds in the sky at all... something huge and dark blocked our view of the stars... unknown... what it was...

Less then a hour after looking up in the sky and not seeing the stars... they all came back... one moment, it was black triangle and next time we looked up, it was lighter and the stars shown bright... no sound, but a strong wind right after that.. which was odd also.. it was low winds all that day and night... made us all think... still unknown what happened... or what we did not see....

With my new Elio, I will be on the roads a lot more, and I like driving long trips at night.. so I will be out there at night, so who knows what I will be seeing across this... soon to be Elio nation...

One of the reasons, I am getting front and back cameras installed in my Elio, is to record all the strange crazy looks, the Elio will be getting on my journey home...

Plus, I heard you could get a better insurance deal with dash cams... Not sure if that is true... but sounds good to me...

Wow! Very interesting sighting...err, or "not" sighting. We've got Scott AFB straight east about 40 miles away, nothing but tankers there, essentially just converted commercial aircraft. Chesterfield airport about 15 miles northeast, just small aircraft and private jets....see them all the time. Lambert International airport (St. Louis) is where I work, a little better than 40 miles northeast...nothing shocking coming out of there (unless you catch an F-15 or F-18 doing a Viking take off...VERY cool!)

The thing you described sounds A LOT like what the people down in Phoenix said they saw back in the '90s. And like the report from Kelly Johnson (the "Main Man" at Lockheed Skunkworks back in the 60's and 70's). He viewed something similar to what you described tooling around in the mountains with his wife, but it was out over the ocean. He did some quick calculations from his vantage point, and ironically, his lead engineer was testing a new radar in an aircraft that had a visual and the object on their radar. Don't know exactly what the determined, so I'm not going to elaborate, but now I'll have to check into it and get back to you.
