this morning I received the following info from the fellow who handles mailing the T-shirts :

"Hi Jim,

The ship date is actually just the date I got the package ready to ship. (I use a pretty simple system that has limited options.)

Everything "shipped" this week will actually go out today. I usually get them out the same day I pack them up but this week has been busier than usual.

frankly, I have no problem with the above response .... lets just say that over time I've had some issues with items sent through the USPS and my concern was the shirts were lost somewhere in the mystic universe .... now that we know what's up, all's good

Just talked with a Man while gassing up this morning.
We joked about paying for each others gas, me with my 11 gallon gas tank, him with his full size truck and saddle tanks. (passed) LOL
While talking gas milage I asked him if he'd ever heard of the Elio, at first he didn't think so, but started adding to what I was saying as I talked! GOOD!
However, he seemed to think there'd have to be around 4 million presold before they started making them, thought he needed a MC endorsement, and that they were five years or so away from manufacturing them.
I enlightened him..
It is even possible he'll show up on this site!! Hello again if you're here!!!

I just placed an order for two shirts and looking forward to wearing them, instead of my long-sleeved nondescript shirt I wore at the last event - except it is getting colder out, so I don't know that I will be able to show them off any time soon.

on Nov 6 our order arrived and I sent the following email :

"for your info, the Elio Owners Black T-Shirt - 2XL SKU 00011 arrived today a

the lio Owners Navy Blue T-Shirt - Small SKU 00001 did not arrive "

in response

"Sorry about that, I'll get the other shirt sent out to you this week."

I mean really, on October 23rd we ordered 2 shirts .... our order was acknowledged and the card was charged that day .... its now Nov 10th and one of the shirts still hasn't arrived .... it wasn't a complex order, I'm at a loss at the lackadaisical way it has been handled .... like I said, I hope your order is handled better than ours

Yes, me too. I understand your concern. I placed a request to have my name changed from my name (David King) to my usual online handle 'rdoearth' a couple weeks ago and it has not been changed yet.

If there had been Blue shirts I would have ordered those instead!

black was the only choice in my size and blue was the only choice in my wife's .... I have no problem with a lack of variety in colors but do have a problem with an attitude that they will take your money immediately and not make anywhere near that level of effort to get the merchandise out to the customer .... to me it reflects poorly on the forum that it is trying to promote .... things can change but I'd be hard pressed to order from them again ....

I've already got over a dozen friends interested in the Elio from the post's I make and chatting about it, only problem is, they are not risk takers. They are waiting on me to get mine then jump on board. I should be a salesman for Elio...LOL
