Easy In/easy Out?

I was interesed in the same issue, no problem. Actually easier than an 06 Mustang. Also I was told by the nice folks at Rome that the seat was Mustang( which my rear confirmed as I had just spent 3 hrs in one) and the steering wheel from a Camero. Also understood that those are the production intent components as well. Also that the production Elio will be slightly higher than P4.

well I did it .... after getting medical clearance ;) I stopped by the local Ford dealership and took a look at the base model Mustang .... the seat was the standard seat, nice looking, with a black leather cover .... objectively, the seat proved to be more comfortable than I anticipated ..:).. I didn't take any measurements but it would be hard to believe that an Elio would have any less ground clearance than that Mustang .... I don't know about the distance from the seat to the ground of the Elio but if it turns out to be close to that of Mustang, getting in and out wasn't an issue .... now, I've got an overwhelming desire to go and take another shower

I'm going to have to be gripping a Slowmaro wheel but sitting in a Mustang seat is like coming home for me.

Great! Now you just have to wait just over a month so and you can try it in the real thing! Hopefully you will be able to climb in and out of the P4 just fine as the final model will be a bit higher so it should be even easier. :)

Since the P3 & P4 are not being test driven (while on display) it would be nice if it could be "parked" on some short blocks, putting it at production height. This would give us a realistic feel while getting in and out. :)

Has anyone actually gotten in and out of one?
My '97 Civic is like getting in and out of a go-kart.
I remember, years ago, on "Car Talk" (Klick&Klack), a survey said the then new VW bug was the easiest car for obese people to access because the door opened wider than average. (not that I'm obese)
I've owned, (and been a passenger in) both 2 door and 4 door cars of many makes. The 2 door cars were Always easier to use because the door measurements (front and back) didn't need to meet certain specifications to be able to Accept both a front and rear door in the car frame. The 2 doors ALWAYS had l-o-n-g-e-r, (and easier entrance/exit) doors. Partially to make it easier to access the rear seat. I'm 6'2" and, well, heavier than I used to be. I haven't had opportunity to try one yet, but pic's make it look good. Have a good tomorrow.

I'm a big guy too - 6'2" and still taller than I am around. When my doctor told me the other day I was built like a linebacker I almost gave her a hug. I'd been following the Elio for quite some time, but was concerned I'd feel like a sardine in a can. I shouldn't have worried. Finally got the chance last month to sit in the Elio at the air show in Rome, Georgia. No issues getting in or or out. In fact, it was easier than my Accord. Once inside it felt great. When I got out I went straight over to the EM rep and give him a thousand dollars to get my spot in line.
