responsibility …

someone has to be the bad guy …
how difficult would it by to have a DIRECT MASS EMAIL TO EVERY RESERVATION HOLDER EVERY WEEK ????

YES EVERY WEEK !

THESE PEOPLE ARE STRUGGLING AND $1000. is like a MILLION $$$$$
they DESERVE TRANSPERANCY AND COMMUNICATION !

forget the driving in snow bull,
forget the blah blah blah

give the INVESTORS WHAT THEY WANT, INFORMATION AND TRANSPERANCY !

we all know there will be no production in 2015, but tell us anyway !!
be HONEST, WE CAN TAKE IT !

IF THEY CANNOT BUILD THIS AND BE 100% HONEST THEY SHOULD NOT BE GOING FORWARD !
they are holding back information to try to keep the investor $ rolling in (NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSITS), but it is backfiring

I WOULD BET THE NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSITS ARE BEING CALLED "INVESTOR CAPITAL" ?
BETTER TO SAY THEY HAVE 40,000 INVESTORS !! (sorry 38,000)

my opinion ..

i am off to the beach ...
I get an email every week from them. Two, actually.

I actually get three. Tour blog on Tuesdays, Tech Talk on Wednesdays, and regular blog on Fridays. With the new numbers generally released on Mondays the only week day I do not get some sort of update from EM is on Thursdays.

I'll see what kind of answers I can squeeze out from them this Saturday.

1) When do you expect the first public reports of the engine performance?
2) When will the first build of a crash test vehicle be started? Is there a schedule for the first test? Who will conduct the tests?
3) When will the first Elio start on the assembly line? How committed is that date?
4) Could the federal financing guarantee timing affect the production schedule?
5) What is the desired target level for total first year reservations? Will you produce more than that?

Also want to know;
Has any fleet sales customers asked for interesting options; Like a turbo, emergency lighting or a hitch?
How do you feel about the Fan-Created Elio options online?
Anything else you think would be fun to see illustrated?
Any hint of competition yet, anywhere in the world?

Anything to add folks?

If they see me coming and duck, I'll know they read this. On the other hand, they could hand me a preprinted answer sheet, and then I'll KNOW they read these forums!

If I like the result, I could update my article at www.3wheelers.com .

I'd REALLY like to know if they would offer an instantaneous mileage display separate from the Infinite Skyz stuff. Knowing instantaneous mileage was the single largest improver of fuel mileage according to a Car And Driver study.

This is an aftermarket option if Elio doesn't make it an option:

You know, my mind keeps tripping over apparent conflicts in statements on this one.

The computer for our Elios is a simple one, providing codes but no "live time" reading capabilities. Yet the wonderful electronic add ons depend on that "live time" ability for a lot of what it is designed for!

I am wondering, is "part" of that two thousand dollar estimate for a better computer? Hmm...

That'd work if Elio has OBD II capabilities that it requires. The Elio will, of course, have OBD II capabilities but may not have the data flow that the gauge requires.
If it has OBDII, it will have the data. If it doesn't have the data, it's not OBDII. They've said it will be OBDII, so it will have the data.
