I used about 30% transparancy so it would look more realistic (to me). I can show you the full picture with no transparancy and then a white background will be unnecessary.
Okay now I understand why the colors look washed out. The orange of the door is coming through because of the transparency. Give it a try ( when you have time, I know your busy right now ) and let's see how it looks.

Here is top and side with no transparency. I don't like it as much as my slightly transparent images because the shape and sheen of the Elio's finish is covered up by a flat (although full color) image.

Now that's colorful. Love it on the hood, you see a lot more of the design, compared to the door. It also seems to blend with the vehicle color better.

So I found a cool deal on a 3-D printer and just could not stop myself from buying it.:D

It should be here in a couple of days so likely next weekend one of my first things to do with it will be to try and print my own Elio model using the files AriLea was nice enough to produce for us.

If it works out well enough I would be willing to print out more for others. Likely would take a 'donation' to cover the materials. I will have to see how much material it takes to print out each one as the spools are not exactly inexpensive.:)
