There seem to be a misperception that the Elio is 'Painted' whereas the body panels are made of composite plastic resins
& the color is throughout the panel so a scratch is the same color, etc. Here is some info., re. the supplier, from The Elio Club.

I see a mention of a glass top/roof. Anyone know if it will be removable as in a targa top.I still see this vehicle hurting the two wheeled motorcycle when it comes to sales. I for one would trade two wheels for three , specially if a convertible or targa top were offered.

Everything these days have cruise control and Elio needs to be one of them. Nav, sun roof, leather, stereo upgrade and blue tooth should be an option to keep a low base model price.
Remote start, not even an option.
