I'll drive! Wazzit cost to rent a 15 passenger van one way? And do we have to pick Bears fans up along the way?
Seriously, what prevents Tesla, Elio, or any other company with the same business model from starting up a shell dealer franchise to meet the letter of the law and break the spirit...
70 GMC half ton. Hugger Orange, rusty as heck, had 4 different junkyard V8s of varying displacement just while I owned it.
Not the best vehicle I ever owned by a long shot, mostly it's about the memories of all the good times I had in and around that truck.
I was trying to be clear that this one sounds potentially serious, I was speaking more to the overall trend I see of "Lifetime Warranty via Litigation".
Does it bother anyone else that we're recalling 10-15 year old cars. The exploding airbag could be serious, I get that, but I see a lot of recalls that IMO should be nothing more than normal wear and aging.
BTW, I think it's been pointed out that Elio has 2 airbag suppliers on their partner list.
Ford, or insert name of carmaker here, isn't going to buy Elio just to kill it. They have stockholders to answer to, and that amounts to throwing money away.
EM could be a target for an automaker, but likely it would either suceed as another product in their line, or get "fixed" into something...
Ah, but tires are an important part of the suspension. Therefore, your assertion is invalid.
Care to give us some details on the $10K motor you toasted due to a bad coated bore?
I don't really agree with this site's style of merging similar threads together into a few huge threads, makes finding something back later a pain in my book.
That said, it's their site, and I thank them for providing it and trying to keep it tidy.
Harlan, on your point of the average mom and...
I tried to see where samwichse was from, but all I learned was that he was born on New Years Day, 1901...
"Here" running the A/C is very helpful. Sure, the defrost still works in my old non air conditioned wood hauler pickup, but in damp conditions (like when I'm trying to plow the driveway...
Excuse my manners!
Tao - thanks much for the videos! I learned more in the 12 minute video with Kody than I've learned here in the last couple weeks. You (and the others asking questions) do a very good interview.
I take it differently. Kody distinctly points out the 'Vette side pipes. As you, among others in the thread you linked (which shows nothing but the P4 exhaust) note, underbody space is at a premium. Adding the undertray (mentioned in the video, so I'm thinking it may be a done deal) makes it...
Only if said wheel is on the ground.
I could see making a reverse towbar with a jack on it. Plug in, crank the wheel up, and hook on. 400# of tongue weight on the tow vehicle should be no problem.
