The antenna for my portable XM receiver is about 1" square x 1/2" tall, has a magnetic base for mounting, but double sided tape or velcro could be used.
See the other thread about this subject. Why would they pay a referral when there is lots of word-of-mouth advertisement and sharing the Elio on social media going on right now?
Just seeing Elios on the road (hopefully) next year this time will be plenty of FREE advertisement for them. We'll...
Sure - just grab a portable XM receiver, plug it into the aux jack; alternatively replace the factory stereo with an AM/FM/XM stereo. This is going to be a fairly stripped down, low-budget, commuter car. There will be as many options for post-purchase upgrades as there are stars.
I had a tent trailer for my former touring bike. Prob weighed 350-400lbs, opened to a ~6x10.5' area, had a dinette and a 'full' size wing (maybe it was double bed sized). Bike weight was similar to the Elio, ~1075lbs dry weight. 1984 Kawi Voyager 1300 (6cyl. w/digital fuel injection).
Towed...
5-star crash rating means very little, except to maybe reduce insurance premiums. In a hard side impact, the airbags really function to just keep you in the seat, so they don't have to search a 100' radius from the impact site for your body. LOL
If you want major automobile safety, buy an...
As long as people are spreading the word and encouraging 'sales' for free - it'll remain that way. If there were not much word of mouth advertising a referral program would be good incentive. Why give a discount when you're spreading the word for free?
P4 is a prototype. Defrosting/defogging vents will likely be included in the production model. Why do we need electric/remote mirrors? Roll the window down, both are in easy arm's reach. How often do you need to adjust them?
Potentially. Maybe they've opted for another supplier based on better costing or a more reliable supply chain; or maybe the components are spec'd and pricing as delivered is set, so there's no need for conversation at this point.
I'm guessing they'll be standard halogen bulbs. LEDs are a new and much more expensive lighting option. Maybe they'll offer HID low beams as an option; if so I'd opt for them.
And, E85 consumes far more energy & resources than it provides in any type of gains. It's like fool's gold: looks pretty up front, but get into real analysis and it begins to tarnish quickly.
A small turbo diesel would be a great way to go. The VW TDi in Europe nets ~75mpg, an Elio would prob...
LOL I bet someone will drop a V8 into one, which would be absolute stupidity considering what would have to be done for that type of mod. It can't be transversely mounted like an Olds Aurora or Caddy NorthStar V8 (way too wide for the Elio chassis). Would have to be installed longitudinally...
I disagree.
Only offer it with a standard, high efficiency tune optimized for the best economy possible. Why? Cost savings. Those that want more power can opt to purchase a tune from an aftermarket provider. Higher stock power can impact safety ratings and yield much higher cost: now you...
I don't know. You just go into the forum of interest, click 'Post New Thread' in the upper right corner. If it won't allow you to start a thread, but allows you to post to existing threads, I'd contact the forum administrator and inquire about it.
I have no idea of the trigger numbers they'd be looking for after a market survey, just making a point. A referral program would be a very good marketing strategy on their part, even if offered only to those who were 'all-in' at any level of investment.
