On the other hand, I drive a car that's been sold in the US for about five years and was featured on Super Bowl commercials... and most people still haven't heard of it.

I saw one this morning on Morning Joe (MSNBC). Interestingly, it played during a commercial break while watching on my phone as I was getting ready for work, but did not play on the regular TV in the living room where my wife was watching.

If you went all in when they were offering the free headphones, then they are free. That's why you didn't get the email. Those of us who went all in ($500-1000) BEFORE the free offer have to pay for them. Not you.

I'm pretty sure I read that the AMT that Elio plans to use will "ride" the clutch for a moment to allow you to get off the brake and on the gas.

Yeah, my Subaru was made in Indiana. And although the Fiat was made in Mexico, in the same factory as the Dodge Journey and Jeep Patriot, the engine is made in Michigan.
Don't get me wrong, though... I doesn't really bother me where my cars are made. I just want a certain car, and they...
Both of my cars have that feature. They are 2011 Subaru Outback and 2015 Fiat 500. In the Subaru, hill start is off by default. In the Fiat, it is on by default.
In the Subaru, it uses the electronically controlled parking brake, and in the Fiat, it uses the regular braking system.

There's nothing flimsy-looking about the Elio drivetrain. It looks like a...
Of course there will be individual cases that back either side of the argument, but I have owned quite a few cars built from the 1970s on up to 2015. The least number of miles I have Putin a vehicle is about 75k. I also had a car go well over 400,000 miles. Many of them were over 200,000...
Seems like this might be a troll thread. This is the OP's first and only post, and it is regarding a well known issue... Just spreading fear and doubt.

Julie, we can see how this seems misleading to you. However, you have to realize that you just happened to sign up at a really interesting time. You signed up and then got the email a few hours later. Some others here signed up years ago and still just got that email the same time you did...
Your CVT is not a 6 speed. It technically has infinite speeds. I believe it was in 2012 that Subaru reprogrammed the CVT to "feel" more like it was shifting so that people would quit complaining about the "rubber band" feel. My 2011 Outback does not have the fake shifting feature, but does...
