Waiting sucks, but as long as they keep making progress (getting bills passed, building 25 prototypes, touring and demo-ing) then I'll be OK. I want the vehicle and I don't want to lose my money. As long as it happens eventually, delays will be forgiven. I can't even imaging starting my own...
Not sure if this has been a thread yet, but IF the Elio does start getting produced sometime in 2016, will you be trading in one of your current vehicles for the Elio?
I actually just bought an old Mazda Protege5 to learn how to drive manual since I want a manual Elio. I'll most likely trade...
Yeah I am cool with the updates, can't wait to see the completed P5!!! Did anyone notice they picked the same color as my SnowMobElio icon? I doubt it is a coincidence...
Elio Momentum v6
"The 506 (c) offering was one of many successful funding strategies that Elio Motors continues to use. The company has successful partnerships with angel investors and has applied for a loan with the Department of Energy. In addition, the company will announce another...
Just read this article about Costco being a huge seller of cars, and a great alternative to traditional dealers. Since I'm an Elio'er, I usually read articles like these and think about how they could apply to the Elio...
You would think though, that if they had started the prototypes, they would say "The building of prototypes has started!" I think that would only generate excitement and show progress. Right now we are just sitting here speculating and hoping that something is going on, but we don't know if...
This was my big question to the Elio folks when I saw them in MD last month... "Whats next? What should we be looking forward to?" And their answer was the 30 prototypes, which requires more $$$.
yes this was the first time I've seen it. I was really impressed with the exterior. I don't think they really need to change anything about how it looks from the outside.
The inside was fine, you can tell it has been around the block some. The important things were fine though, seat...
Got to see it, finally!
1. I was told the motor has been taken apart for x-rays, but all is going well.
2. One of the folks I talked to said she was hoping the prototypes would start being built in August, but that was more of a "hope" than a concrete date.
3. It went well, IIHS sounds...
I'd be happy to do that. I think my biggest question is, "What's next?" Update on equipment sales? Final report on the engine testing? Building of more engines? The NY Auto Show was a good milestone, but I think we need a more certain next thing to look forward to.
