My old Citreon 2CV had one vertically coming straight out of the dash, it works just fine.

Paul Elio yes the guy who is the car company wants his "dads watch" as a dash. It not even a good watch never mind an instrument cluster. Dont worry though they say you can display the speed on the little LCD window on the cluster which makes it all better.

That is good, Dakkota who makes a lot of replacements clusters will know exactly what size and connections this one uses. That will make it much easier to replace this monstrosity with another and they will be making money on both ends of the deal.

Kind of defeats the purpose of the "magnificent huge spinning dials" that is the Elgin dash.

My problem is not how fast it will turn but, how much space the numbers take up. Which is going to make it had to tell your exact speed. I know you say the actual speed can be displayed in the Lcd window. If you are forced to do this to read your actual speed then what good is the rest of the...

My guess might be hazard lights. Since the high beam indicator seems to be inside one of the circles.

It has a tach, it is the other huge circle on the left with the little window. Not to accurate but, it is what it is. Not to my liking but, it seems to be what we are stuck with.

I still think you are going to have to guess at your speed. The numbers are very wide with little space in between.

Is that the fuel gauge on the lower right hand circle? It has 8 marks wich would match up with the fuel tanks 8 gallon tank. It also seems like you are going to have to guess your speed when it marked every 20 mph with just a dash in between for the 10s.. Most places around where I live go with...

A replacement might not be that simple if they really do not output OBD II data like they are saying.

The Elgin dash still looks like sh*t. I guess I will put black paper over it and throw a small gps heads up display on the dash.

You could always add a front facing camera and then a monitor on the headrest of the front seat. My dogs won't really care as long as they can see out the side windows.

I have 2 Fred and Ethel named for the I love Lucy TV show. When I got both of them they were too small to tell the sex. I got the both wrong, Fred laid eggs on November 1st the day before the snow picture was taken.

Fred will wander around in the snow for about 10-15 minutes before heading back in to her warm shed. She will get up to around 120lbs or so. Fred is not even 5 yet, when I got her at a few weeks old she weighed 2oz.

My new one is my pet tortoise Fred out in the snow. She is a Sulcata and weighs almost 60lbs.

I agree the information is there, it just needs accessed. Unless they replace this ecu with another one when you get the upgrade.
