Reminds me of the 2CV I had when I lived in Spain. It took forever to go anywhere bu it was fun, mine had a 435cc 18hp engine.

I have this one it works well. I use it often and had zero problems with it. Although I do change the oil the regular way every few times just to make me feel better.

If you saw the video posted about the engine oil changes should be easy. Both the plug and the filter are in very accessible locations. We will have to wait and see how cramped the engine compartment ends up being though, which will really determine whether it will be as easy as it should be.
The problem would be backing out, the Elio is as wide as a regular car. This would make it hard to share a space or to fit into a MC parking spot.
I for one would never do it as it is an auto cycle not a motorcycle. Unless of course your state makes you get a motor cycle license.
I drove a jeep with a soft top if I could live with that noise I can deal with the Elio. Nothing like driving down the road and both doors and plastic windows flapping, it was much quieter with the top off.
I got to circumnavigate the globe on that ride in 2001. We went west from San Francisco in January and came back home in July after a few month stay in the Persian Gulf. We normally spent most of our underway time in the Bering Sea.
I wonder how cheap replacements will be. It might be nice to have another set in a different color so you could change them out when you feel like it. If they are cheap enough I would not bother trying to enhance them just replace them.
I ride road bicycles. I used to ride mountain bikes too, but my back decided that was not a good idea. Here is a picture of the one I ride the most. In my best year I rode a few miles short of 16,000 miles, last year I only managed about 6,000. I guess I have been slacking lately.
Why don't you just admit that no matter what anyone brings up you are set on electric cars? They are not the answer at this time. You dismiss anything brought up as drivel.
Once again here is another report about the pollution outputs...
Yes, but you are forgetting about all the energy required to mine the material for the batteries. This is a very intense operation ending in a car that by the time it is completed has polluted the same amount as an average gas power car that has driven 80,000 miles. That is even before it has...
This will also be where I am heading first, because it is home. I live in Springfield, my first trip will be heading to see family back in Connecticut. I grew up there and have not been back in a few years. That should be just about 2 tanks of gas with enough left over to drive around when I am...
This is where the Pepboys website will come in handy, since they are the people responsible to fix the car they would know the parts. So, in theory you could go to their website type in Elio as your vehicle pick and what part you are looking for such as front brakes and it would list parts that...
The Elio just looks ground breaking, but it really is not. It uses many off the self parts, I don't think the car will be too difficult to work on. It will just take sometime for some to get over how it looks, compared to how basic it really is.
Once again all I have to say is if electric cars were so good why do they need a subsidy for people to buy them. Also, they are not as green as people think. Unless they are driven a lot they are not greener than the Elio...
I was stationed at some pretty small bases, the smallest being Kure Island Hawaii. It is a small island 1200 miles NW of Honolulu. The only way out there was by boat or C130. We had a crew of 17 and stayed on the Island for a year. You can see it here...
My brother was on a sub and talked me out of joining the Navy as a nuclear power tech. I was already to sign up had all the test taken and everything. My brother spent 4 years on the Seawolf SSN 575 in the early 80s.
