That will be a decision we will make if funding and production ever happens. I just do not see that as a possibility based on the last 4 plus years history. I think many or most of the 65,000 have moved on and taken the loss.

I am at the point of giving up. Expected to have my Elio years ago. I just replaced my really old high mileage vehicle with another car. Now if Elio ever happens, I am not sure what I may do. I would guess this is true for the 65,000+ that reservations they had. This is a great loss of a...
I just checked with Progressive Florida. My Can Am Spyder costs me $230.00/year, people with Slingshot's pay $400.00/year. When They quoted me on the Elio, they quoted it as a car and the cost was $800.00/year. Needless to say, we need to find the agent who lists it as a motorcycle.
Nissan’s New 1.5L Engine Has 400 HP And Can Fit In Your Backpack! I am thinking this would be sweet to be able to be an add on to my Elio. click on the link for details.

I really like the new configurator that was just posted on eliomotors.com I wish that we could actually use it to see the options, prices and where we will end up with our Elio, our way.
I intend to do my own maintenance but I understand many can't. It will be hard to get under without the proper jack and equipment. I have a Pitt Bull motorcycle jack with a turntable. I will be able to lift it 30" and spin it around. Works great on my Can Am Spyder or I would not be able to...
Well on the Can Am when you change oil, you need an oil filter and a transmission filter. The Can Am dealer charges nearly 300.00 for this service. I am able to get it jacked up and cut away an access hole and do it myself. Still costs me 100.00 for materials and a couple hours time. I...
I have a semi automatic transmission in my Can Am Spyder and it is fun to drive having to up shift and never backing off the gas. Faster than anything I have driven. It is more costly to maintain and can't be push started. The Elio is not a speed demon and for me the manual is the best option.
I would rather have a manual manual manual transmission. Less costly to maintain, can be push started and more fun to drive. Remember it is a motor cycle!
If it is truly a warranty issue, it will fail prior to 36,000 miles. I prefer to fund it myself as non manufacturer warranty are sometimes hard to collect.
The traditional gauges would have alot more attraction. What happen to the off the shelf parts for the build. Nothing new! The Elgin dials are too small to read.
There are companies that sell extended warranties. If you don't have an issue in 36,000 miles it is most likely not warranty anyhow. That is my feeling. If you have a warranty issue it will happen within the 3 year/36,000 miles.
