I was watching a show called "Wheeler Dealers" on the Velocity channel. They rebuilt a KR 200.
That's a great show! I've been watching them for a few years now; they've done a lot of different cars and Edd is a really good mechanic/body man
Mike is a typical salesman.

Bring your own paddle as the threads will drift and read ALL of the threads, as you might miss something.
Wheeler Dealers just did a Messerschmitt identical to David's a couple of weeks ago; difference being when they bought it, it have a cloth top on it; during the show they put on a full Plexi Top (Edd cracked the first one cutting it to size, so they had to buy another).
Once it was done, they took it to a meet that had about 60 of them.
The problem was, they didn't tell where it was held.

Those clear tops must give it greenhouse effect; the green tinted ones make sense on a sunny day.
I still think the rag top would be best; but what do you do with the windows?

I like that burgundy one with the "used to be" black top

THE BUBBLE TOPS ARE A LITERAL BAKE OVEN IN THE SUMMER .
THEY ALSO ARE QUITE LOUD WITH THE DOME FOCUSING THE SOUND OF THE MOTOR
RIGHT INTO YOUR HEAD !

A LOT OF EARLY 'SCHMITTERS REMOVED THE DOMES ON A HOT DAY .
THE FACTORY DID HAVE MERCY & OFFERED A STRAP ON SUN SHADE .

THEY STARTED SELLING THEM WITH THE CAB TOP IN LATE '57 .
IT LITERALLY IS THE SAME CAR WITH A SNAP ON CLOTH TOP .
SOME OWNERS HAD BOTH TOPS AND COULD SWITCH SEASONALLY .

THERE WAS ALSO A ROADSTER KR-201 FOLDING TOP . THESE ARE QUITE RARE
AND HAD SNAP IN FLEXIBLE SIDE CURTAINS FOR WINDOWS .
THEY LEAKED AND FLAPPED IN THE WIND BUT ARE STILL THE COOLEST TOP GOING .
